I graduated from Bennett High School in 2000. I then competed at Colorado State University with a focus on the hammer and discus, although I threw shot as well. My personal best was 200' 7" in the hammer, 177'7 in the discus, and over 50' in the shot. Upon graduation from CSU, got my Master's Degree in Education through Michigan State University. As I worked on my Master's, I coached for two years at Smoky Hill High School. In 2009, I went on to teach and coach at Ridgeview Academy. In 2013, I started my current teaching position at Green Mountain High School, and have been coaching throwing events there as well.
